Let’s stay healthy 😷
The government of Iceland has specific regulations regarding travel during COVID which change depending on the status of pandemic at each time. We are doing everything we can to minimize risk while still being able to go on the river and have fun rafting
In addition to the general guidelines required from the Icelandic authorities we have developed rules to prevent spreading that are specific to rafting.
We will be on the river this summer, running both public and private departures, always in accordance with guidelines from the Icelandic authorities that make decisions based on the status of the pandemic.
When rafting you need to keep in mind:
Don’t come if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
No handshakes. Limiting physical contact is an effective way to reduce risk.
Sanitize when you enter the base, and wash and sanitize your hands frequently.
Wear a mask at Drumbó River Base and while on the River Bus
When on the River Bus sanitize your hands when you walk into it and walk into it only with your group. Ensure you keep a 2 meter distance between you and other passengers.
Leave your mask in the seat when you exit. Exit as you would on an airplane to ensure distance between groups.
Memorize the name of your seat to remember which mask is yours for the way back - we will make the name as memorable as possible.
· Ensuring distance of 2 meters between people on the tour
as possible.
Our measures:
River Bus contact surfaces are disinfected between tours
All rafting equipment and clothing is sanitized between tours
Drumbó River Base common surface areas are sanitized very regularly during the day
The restaurant’s tables and chairs are sanitized between guests.
Note that situations can change quickly and we will adapt our procedure as needed.
